do you really think Miami's linebacking corp is going to be that good? Beason an AA? I think once you get past the front 4, you run into mediocrity, other than S Kenny Philips, who is a bonafide stud. And their corners, for the record have to be the worst set theyve had there since the probation years ended.
I think Miami is in deep trouble with depth all around the board. Coker's bad recruiting the past couple years is going to start biting this year if they have key guys go down. They are paper thin.
At QB Kirby Freeman has been downright aweful in practice. Wright gets hurt and they are in a world of hurt IMO. Moss will probably take another full year to recover. And I have been completely unimpresssed with the UM receiving corps. I think their best offensive weapons are their tight ends. On the OL, if you think our offensive line may stink, UM's could be far worse. Wallslager sucks.
I dont know. Maybe I'm completely wrong on this, but I think Miami's team rests solely on the defensive line. I think Wright will continue to make dumb mistakes and their offense will struggle far worse than ours. Their defense will be good, but will be so bad at corner, teams will be able to exploit them at will.
I think Miami is probably the 3rd best team on our fairly weak schedule, behind Clemson and Florida.
