Subjecta question and a comment

why in your system would the first round pit #4 at #3 and #6 at #5 instead of the more conventional 6 at 3 and 5 at 4? (i.e. higher seeded teams hosting) I just skimmed your manifesto so maybe you explain in there. If your concern is guaranteeing that the #1 team faces the weaker opponent in the second round, then just put in the rule like the NHL playoffs where the top seed must face the lower-seeded team to make it out of the first round.

And the comment: I love the thought put into your system and believe it to be fair and a good outside-the-box solution, however ... I don't believe in a million years that such a system (non-fixed number of teams) would ever fly with the CFB powers or especially the networks. For one, it's too confusing for the common fan to understand. Granted, the inner workings of the BCS is confusing to some, but the number and location of games doesn't change from year to year. And for two, the variable number of teams and games would be hell on the networks from a planning and logistics perspective. If the powers that be move to a playoff system, it will be in baby steps .... something "simple".
