2003: 13-1 (Games against BCS conference opponents: a 26-24 loss to an 8-5 Oregon State team)
2004: 11-1 (Games against BCS conference opponents: a 53-34 win over a 7-5 Oregon State team & a 44-40 loss to an 11-1 Louisville team)

Record in the last 4 seasons against BCS conference teams: 2-6

There's some data for you. They've done well with their terrible talent...but against terrible opponents. Not a very good record against good opponents. But, they also obviously had inferor talent. But, why do they struggle to bring in good talent and would that continue if they weren't in the frozen tundra of Idaho and at a school with no football tradition?
