So, after 13 games, let’s look at Florida State’s offensive performance compared to the other offenses that our opponents have faced. The reason I like this exercise is because it really shows how well a team has performed. In other words, just saying FSU had 7.24 YPP can mean a lot of different things (in all actuality, 7.24 YPP is good pretty much no matter who you’re playing). 7.24 yards against a good Florida defense? Awesome. 7.24 yards against Idaho? Not as impressive. It’s amazing to me that FSU has the top or second best performance of the year against every single defense we’ve faced but Wake. The Wake game can even be excused due to the crazy flow of that game thanks to a defensive performance that gave FSU short fields or scored on their own. I’ve added Auburn to see how they’ve fared this season.
