Marion Butts
Marion Butts was a 6’1″ 248 lbs fullback out of Sylvester, GA.  Butts was a junior college transfer that joined the Noles in ’87 as a junior.  He stepped in immediately and made an impact as a powerful runner and good blocker sharing time at fullback.  In a crowded backfield with some excellent runners, Butts didn’t get all that many touches.  After leaving Tallahassee, Butts was a 7th Round Draft pick in the 1989 NFL Draft by the San Diego Chargers.  He had a much more successful NFL career making two Pro-Bowls in 1991 and 1992 and rushing for 1,225 yards in his second season in 1990.  In all, Butts enjoyed a 7 year NFL career and rushed for over 5,000 yards.
