#76 – Walter Jones

Offensive Tackle – 6’5″ 290 lbs – 1995-1996

Walter Jones was just a one year letterman for the Noles, but what a year it was and what a career he would go on to have.  A junior college transfer to FSU in 1995, Jones redshirted that season but entered his RS Junior season in 1996 ready to go.  He made 2nd team All-American and All-ACC leading the way for Warrick Dunn and a superb running game.  The undefeated Seminoles were just a Sugar Bowl victory away from the schools 2nd National Championship.  Jones was drafted in the 1st Round with the 6th overall pick in the 1997 NFL Draft by the Seattle Seahawks.  He would go on to become one of the greatest offensive tackles in NFL history.  After making the 1997 All-Rookie team, Jones would make the Pro-Bowl in 2000, 2002-2009 starting 180 games in his 12 year NFL career.  Jones was just selected to the 2014 Class of the NFL Hall of Fame.
