67 Days Until Seminole Football

#67 – Kevin Mancini

Offensive Tackle – 6’3″ 272 lbs – 1988-1991

When I think of football warriors who left it all on the field, Kevin Mancini immediately comes to mind for me.  Playing through knee injuries and at times looking like he could barely walk, he still gave it his all.  This was especially true against Miami in 1991 as the two national title contenders battled it out.  Mancini, despite injuring ligaments against LSU in late October, was not to miss the epic battle.  Unfortunately, he added to the injury by tearing cartilage in the knee causing him to miss the Florida game to close the season.  However, his performance during the year was rewarded with an Honorable Mention All-American listing.  Mancini now lives in Denver and is the Vice President, Sales with Smith & Nephew in their Advanced Surgical Devices division.
