Jack Shinholser (Seated, Middle)

Jack Shinholser was a part of the “Seven Magnificents” that helped form one of the most dominating defenses in FSU history in 1964.  Nicknamed “The Wrecker”, Shinholser was named National Lineman of the Week after his play against Florida in ’64 which included forcing a Gator fumble inside the 5 yard line that helped the Noles to victory.  In the very next game, Shinholser was named Outstanding Lineman of the Gator Bowl as the Seminoles walloped the Oklahoma Sooners.  As a senior in 1965 he finished third on the team in tackles and was named an Honorable Mention All-American by UPI and AP.  Jack Shinholser was elected to the FSU Hall of Fame in 2007.
