Defensive End – 6’4″ 250 lbs – 1999-2002

Alonzo Jackson, out of Americus, Georgia, was a four year letterman for the Seminoles.  He played some as a freshman during the ’99 National Championship season.  He followed that up with two good seasons that were almost identical statistically where he had 5 sacks in each year with 37 and 33 tackles respectively.  Then, as a senior in 2002 he turned in one of the great sack seasons in Seminole history with 13 sacks, 6th best all-time.   He earned 2nd Team All-American status for his work that season.  Jackson finished his career with 23 sacks, also good for 6th best all-time.  He was drafted in the 7th Round of the 2003 NFL Draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers.  He spent 3 seasons in the NFL playing in 18 games for 3 different teams.
