#31 – Paul Magalski

Fullback – 5’11″ 210 lbs – 1969-1971

Paul Magalski was a Fullback for the Noles from 1969-1971 out of Garfield Heights, Ohio.  Magalski didn’t get much of an opportunity to carry the ball for Florida State until late in his sophomore year, but when he finally did, he made an immediate impact.  Against South Carolina and Virginia Tech on back-to-back November weekends, Magalski rushed 12 times for 111 yards with 2 touchdowns and 18 times for 113 yards, respectively.  Then for the rest of 1969 and the majority of 1970 he again didn’t see many touches totaling just 45 carries over the next 14 games.  His senior year, however, he returned to lead the Seminoles in rushing with 516 yards on 106 carries and 3 touchdowns, tops in all 3 categories.  Nearly half of those yards came in a two week stretch against Tulsa and Pittsburgh as Magalski ran for 113 yards on 18 carries and 104 yards on 19 carries against the Golden Hurricanes and Panthers.
