#22 – Tyrell Lyons

Defensive Back – 6’0″ 215 lbs – RS Freshman

Tyrell Lyons came into Florida State last season rated as a 3* linebacker by 247 Composite.  Slightly undersized, but with good athleticism and experience at safety, Lyons was promptly moved to the defensive backfield were he spent time learning and helping the Noles on the scout team.  Heading into fall practice, Lyons is listed behind fellow classmates Jalen Ramsey and Nate Andrews on the depth chart and will most likely be battling for playing time as a backup/reserve this season with a strong possibility of special teams work as well.

#22 – Johnathan Vickers

Runningback – 6’1″ 213 lbs – Freshman

Johnathan Vickers is a incoming freshman running back from close by at North Florida Christian.  Vickers is a big back that was rated as a 3* by 247Composite and offered early on by the Noles.  The FSU coaching staff, impressed with his size and ability in camp, were high on him and he committed last summer.  With a log jam at running back this year featuring some highly touted ball carriers, it’s unlikely that Vickers will get much opportunity and is a pretty good redshirt candidate.  That said, if the coaching staff has plans for him at more of a Lonnie Pryor role at fullback, then it’s possible that Vickers starts off day one backing up Freddie Stevenson.
