21 Days Until Seminole Football

#21 – Chris Casher

Defensive End – 6’4″ 250 lbs – RS Sophomore

After redshirting his first year on campus, Chris Casher played in 13 of 14 games last season finishing with 25 tackles.  He showed some excellent promise with speed and explosion off the end.  Against Syracuse, Casher had an impressive play where he got to the quarterback, forced a fumble with a swat of the ball, picked up the fumble off the bounce and then rumbled 37 yards for a touchdown.  You can’t expect that kind of stuff all that often, but the ability to disrupt play in the backfield is certainly there.  He’ll begin the season atop the depth chart at one of the defensive end spots and, whether or not he is named the starter, will factor in with a lot of snaps in 2014.
