12 Days Until Seminole Football

#12 – Jarred “Scooter” Haggins

Wide Receiver – 6’0″ 202 lbs – RS Senior

Scooter Haggins has had a frustrating, up and down career in Tallahassee.  In 2011 as a redshirt freshman Haggins was very impressive early on until injuring his hand making a spectacular catch against Oklahoma.  While he was able to return in just a few games, he ended up with just 11 catches for 94 yards.   In 2012, despite playing in 13 games, Haggins got a little lost in the shuffle and again made a minimal impact with just 8 catches for 108 yards.  Then, with a larger role expected in 2013, Haggins injured his knee in the preseason and missed all of 2013.  Finally as a senior, Haggins is healthy and should see an increased role, but he’ll have to hold off some excellent young wide receivers eager to make a splash this fall.

#12 – Malique Jackson

Defensive Back – 6’1″ 165 lbs – Freshman

Malique Jackson is a true freshman defensive back out of Jesup, Georgia.  He’s the cousin of another Seminole from Jesup, Georgia, offensive lineman Tre Jackson.  Rated as a 3* prospect and 21st best athlete in the 2014 recruiting class by 247Composite, Jackson is considered by the FSU staff to be underrated and they were excited about the size and athleticism he can bring to the defensive backfield.  Most likely, though, Jackson will redshirt this season as the Noles have an abundance of talent at corner currently.
