Deondre Francois enters his second year as the starting quarterback in Tallahassee. One of the top young quarterbacks in 2016, he led all freshman with 3,350 passing yards. Despite the accolades, Francois certainly had things to improve on heading into 2017, namely having a better grasp of the offense that will allow him to processes what he sees quicker. Francois got hit way too much last season and, while some of that is certainly on an underperforming offensive line, the freshman quarterback also held on to the ball too long often. If his understanding has improved like the coaching staff has led on, than that will not only help him get the ball out of his hands quicker, but he’ll also be able to get the offense into better positions and situations by his calls. Without a doubt, Francois is a huge piece of the puzzle if the Noles want to make the jump this year to be a title contender.

Arthur Williams is a redshirt junior out of Waycross, Georgia. After sitting out 2014, Williams has played in 12 games over the last two seasons. A large body on the interior, Williams will most likely play a reserve role again on the Seminole defensive line as the depth and talent is great.
