There is such a small number of rabid *CC fans comparatively speaking. The *CC has a natural advantage in households. So, given their footprint of high density cities, why wouldn't, ESPN be frothing at the mouth over getting the "home ream(s)" onto to cable networks in those homes? PITT lost it's QB and top two running backs from a 6-7 team in the Big East. A team that ranked 94th in rushing yards. A team that ranked 46th in passing yards. FSU was 12-2, ranked 40th in passing and 24th in rushing. Lonnie Pryor was a "nice" back and Chris Thompson was a good scat back. This kid worked his butt off to graduate early, skipped a lot of the accouterments of being BMOC campus in high school, skipped his prom and because something gets "flagged," misses out (unfairly, as it turns out) on further development. Part of that should be to cut ND out as much as possible until they commit to actually joining the conference. What am I missing on the realignment? This seems like the biggest no brainer on the face of the earth. The *CC is missing compelling, meaningful rivalries as part of its product offering. Proximity creates rivalries.
