I think it's rooted in the INTERNATIONAL focus of the INTERNATIONAL Baccalaureate. Keep in mind, this was a curriculum started in the 1960s to prepare the children of European diplomats for university admission in Europe despite the fact the kids may have studied anywhere in the world their parents were assigned. program in a well regarded school and I absolutely love it. I could write a long essay about tue curriculum but I won't unless you have specific questions. I will say it embraces the European pedagogical philosophy of focusing on depth of knowledge about a few subjects rather than the US philosophy of breadth of knowledge about a lot. Urethra and out the rear end. My highly paranoid, insecure MIL thinks my family hates her (they don't) so she refuses to get together with them. Ever. Her rejection of my family makes me not accept her or my FIL who enables her. After that we will go to Christmas Eve Candle Light service which makes me happy. Next day is Christmas with my family.
